Color Blindness

This is a very poor term as virtually everyone sees in color. However, some see colors differently.
Here are some facts:

• about 8% of males and 0.5% of females in North American have "color blindness"
• the most common problem is telling red from green,
• it is in the eye as some people have one normal eye and one anomalous one,
• the image below gives some idea of how different people percieve color.

Design tip: design and optimize everything in black and white. Only add color at the end. This will ensure that everyone can use it.
